MINI needs to make the Superleggera to go against the Fiat 124 Spider. If they make the roadster, it should be called the MINI FrenZ. Then, they need a subcompact crossover. Something like a 4DC version of the BMW X1. They can call it the MINI Roman. Then I can ask owners of the FrenZ, Roman, and Countryman to lend me their keys. *womp womp womp waaaaahhh*

If Mini were to actually make the Superleggera and the crossover, they’d end up calling it the Roadster and the Sportman or something dull like that.
Such is the reality of new Mini.

They already tried and failed with the Mini Roadster.
As pretty as the Superleggera is, it wouldn’t sell well because they would price it at 40k plus for a decently equipped one.

I believe what Mini should do is come up with a mid-rear engine sports coupe/roadster and really play on the fact that the Cooper family was a pioneer in the rear/mid engine development in formula1. Heck, they could call it the Mini Formula or something like that. I even have a sketch of what such a mini would look like from a slow day at the office. Looks like the old roadster kind of but with a big wing and a lower hood, kind of 911 plus spoiler meets Cooper. I'm a bad drawer otherwise I'd upload it...

Nah, it’s more like a hatchback with a little bit of a lift. Id say between a QX30 S and a QX30, but I want something more like a QX30 AWD in ride height. (I have no idea what any of that means!!!).
